Did you know that the willow tree has a long history of symbolism? Until we were trying to find the perfect name for our counseling practice, we didn’t know either.
The willow tree shows us adaptability and resiliency by the way its branches bend and flow with even the most tremendous storms.
It is Mother Nature’s reminder that flexibility helps us grow stronger and allows us to thrive in harsh environments.
What does not bend, breaks.
Even the willow tree has its breaking points, as do all of us. The beauty of the willow tree comes from these moments of brokenness when its branches grow back, twisted and “imperfect.” These remarkable crooked branches are what makes the tree so magnificent and unique.
We believe that this is also true with people. Our journey, including our scars, is what makes us unique and beautiful.
Trees in general have a long history of symbolizing family and connectiveness. At the heart of Willow Tree Counseling is family.

Why seek counseling at Willow Tree? We started our own counseling practice at Willow Tree to make sure that you and your family receive the highest quality, personalized care possible. All of our clinicians come with years of expertise and make themselves available to you as much as possible.
Home away from home
We are passionate about creating a comfortable, home-like environment for you and your family. Our waiting room is your “living room,” where you can relax while you wait for your appointment.
We want you to feel welcomed and comfortable, not like a number just waiting for a turn. While you wait, you can enjoy a hot beverage and free WiFi, just like at home, except you that you must pay for your WiFi at home!
Not rushed, but no time wasted
Most of our sessions are scheduled in 45-minute increments, with a 15-minute buffer in between. We do this mainly because we never want you to feel rushed in your session.
We know how hectic life can be with working full-time and taking the kids to football, ballet, and soccer.
We are one of the few private practices that has an agreement with the local school system to provide our services in school during the school day. This allows our younger clients to keep up with regular counseling appointments without adding the stress of another evening commitment.
