Get the Answers You Need for Your Child.

“In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.”

~Albert Einstein

What is going on?

You are getting emails and phone calls from your child’s school, and it’s not good news.

Your child is struggling to sit still in class and is disturbing classmates. On top of that, he is not getting good grades in language arts and math.

A million thoughts race through your mind. Could he have ADHD? Maybe it’s anxiety? What about a learning disability? Maybe he’s just bored?

You need more information. We can help.

We offer psychological/psychoeducational testing for children and adolescents.

Currently, our primary focus is assessment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and related behavioral or learning disorders, including both initial diagnosis and assessments to clarify current levels of functioning.

Results may help families with obtaining treatment, supports, accommodations, and formal plans at the school or college level.

Testing includes extensive face-to-face assessment, using standardized psychological measurements, gathering information from various sources, and preparing a comprehensive psychological report that helps understand your child’s strengths and needs.

Based on your child’s individual profile, we provide a detailed description of testing results, rationale for diagnoses, and specific recommendations.

Can my insurance pay for assessments?

Willow Tree is an out-of-network, fee-for-service provider.

Insurance companies sometimes reimburse families directly for psychological testing that is medically necessary. However, they may not reimburse for the full cost.  Also, your plan may have an out-of-network deductible that differs from your in-network benefits.

Many insurance plans require the psychologist to complete a prior authorization before testing.

Therefore, please contact your insurance company to ask about such requirements and obtain any paperwork required.

As part of obtaining approval for testing, we are happy to complete insurer paperwork. However, it is your responsibility to contact your insurer and submit for reimbursement.

Insurers may request review of completed psychological reports.

Insurance will not cover academic portions of testing, such as reading, writing, and math.
